Midori Ryans | Midori Under Giants

Midori Ryans is a Vancouver-raised, neurodiverse outsider artist.
Between a rare hearing condition and her synesthesia, much of Midori's art is an effort to express what life looks, sounds, and feels like through the lens of this unique condition of the senses.
 

She blends digital with traditional mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, calligraphy, ink pens, coloured pencils, and photography. And while largely working digitally, and selling digital prints; she also does more abstract work with acrylics, and photography projects with her loving fiancé, Erlendr Wooley.

Midori's work, if not inspired by her synesthesia, or by nature, is instead a burst of emotion, or a message about mental health, mad pride, and anti-stigma.

Midori currently resides in Downtown Vancouver, BC, with her fiancé... an acrylic pour artist, crafter, and aspiring photographer, and their rescue puppy, Zuko; with whom she loves hiking, long walks, craft fairs, summer festivals, and good books.
She publishes popular erotic short story fiction online under a pseudonym, practices staff-spinning, and leads a double life in the realms of D&D, and Skyrim.
